Only
30 mins drive North of Auckland City or 45 mins from the Airport, just
off the end of the Northern Motorway (due to be extended) lies Orewa township.
With its magnificent beach and friendly cafe atmosphere, this has been
a holiday destination for many years, a great place to stay and explore
all that the area has to offer. Just over the hill 10 min drive north
is Waiwera Thermal Spa Resort, picnic at Wenderholm Regional Park or take
a drive along the Whangaparaoa Peninsula to Shakespear Regional Park for
superb gulf & city views, call in at Gulf Harbour Marina where you
can catch the Ferry to Auckland. If golf is your game there are nine courses
within 30 mins drive.
Whether
you wish to stay a while or are just passing through, be assured of a
warm welcome at Orewa Lakeside B&B. Our lovely home is situated in
quiet park-like surroundings, a peaceful oasis where you may like to stroll
round the lake before your hearty breakfast, which weather permitting
can be served on the patio. It is an easy flat walk to the beach and town,
or if you prefer a 2 min drive, where you will find great shops, cafés
and restaurants. Perhaps you are energetic enough to borrow our bikes
and cycle round the “Millenium walkway” which will take you along the
estuary to the beach and back via Eve’s bush. For your evening entertainment
see what’s on at Orewa’s Centre Stage Theatre or Berkeley Cinema complex
at the Whangaparaoa shopping plaza.
Your
comfortable bedroom has TV and Tea/Coffee for your convenience, laundry
available on request. Please feel free to enjoy the peace and quiet of
our garden if you wish to just sit and read, or sunbathe in private. Make
our home your own for the duration of your stay. Please join us in the
lounge for a chat and a cup of Tea /Coffee or even a glass of wine. Our
